MSU Denver’s Industry Partnerships team engages industry, campus and community stakeholders in mutually beneficial experiences to provide students with robust, career-focused opportunities.

The Classroom to Career (C2) Hub focuses on the Colorado economy and anticipated growth industries to develop relationships between the University and organizations in those fields.

As part of the C2 Hub, the Industry Partnerships team connects our diverse student population to prospective employers in a variety of industries that are aligned to students’ career ambitions.

While each partnership varies, the priority is expanding career opportunities for MSU Denver students through relevant career development programs and experiential learning while supporting the talent pipeline of organizations. Colorado has the nation’s 2nd largest space economy, with over 240K jobs supported by local aerospace companies. MSU Denver supports workforce demand by partnering with some of the largest employers in the state, including DEN and Lockheed Martin. Our unique degree pathways, such as the Aviation and Aerospace Sciences major and the Aerospace Physics IDP, prepare our diverse student body to enter the workforce through an industry-aligned curriculum and industry-specific certifications. Industry Navigator: Jada Szympruch

Colorado is home to a thriving bioscience hub. MSU Denver’s Biology, Chemistry and Biochem Departments have fourteen teaching and five research labs. Our Chemistry department is American Chemical Society approved and ranked the 14th Best College for Chemistry in 2020 on GradReports.com. MSU Denver’s School of Hospitality is the only program in the U.S. that has a LEED Gold® hotel, a commercial conference space, a state-of-the-art beverage testing laboratory, a commercial restaurant, and a working brewery all on campus. Denver’s strong economy positions the area to become a growing technology hub to continue attracting top talent and investment in this sector. MSU Denver offers multiple degrees aimed at preparing students to enter the ever-growing fields of computer programming, information systems, and cybersecurity. The IT & Cybersecurity industry in the Denver Metro Area has experienced significant growth in recent years, with numerous technology companies and startups establishing their presence in the region. Transportation & Logistics

With access to over 1,000 miles of Interstate highway, 300+ miles of other freeways/ expressways, and almost 87.1K miles of arterials, collectors and local roads, Colorado is one of the nation’s premier transportation hubs. The state is the crossroads of major Interstate Highways (I-25, I-70 and I-76) and hosts more than 2,660 miles of combined freight and passenger railroad track, vital to supporting interstate commerce and economic development. MSU Denver’s Department of Management is AACSB accredited and offers a concentration in operations and supply chain management to prepare graduates for careers in project management as well as domestic and international supply chain logistics.
