Our team provides career counseling/advising so that you can bring what you learn into the classroom and take it to your dream job. The C2 Hub is here to support you no matter what stage you are in during your career. Whether you are unsure of which major best fits you, wanting to connect with another MSU Denver student for academic and/or social support, in need of a quick review of cover letters, resumes, or job search documents, we will be with you every step of the way of your career journey.

Peer Mentoring

The Peer Mentoring Program provides peer-to-peer support and strives to enhance the overall student experience for all undergraduate students. Peer Mentors work to not only connect students to campus resources but build a community and support network for students throughout their time at MSU Denver.

Peer Mentoring at MSU Denver

The Peer Mentor program helps MSU Denver students achieve their best self by promoting academic and social support. The Peer Mentors are knowledgeable on all the resources available on campus and will connect students to what they need. With a full year of college under their belt, Peer Mentors can help MSU Denver students get through college successfully.


Community of Mentorship Professionals and Student Scholars (COMPASS) Program

The Community of Mentorship Professionals and Student Scholars (COMPASS) Program connects you with industry professionals in your area of study.  

COMPASS is a one-semester long, student-driven experience where you receive individualized advice from a mentor of YOUR choosing.  

Through our program platform, Firsthand, you’re able to select a mentor and learn about topics such as: 

  • Resume and cover letter writing 
  • Interviewing tactics 
  • Salary negotiation 
  • Networking 
  • Conference attendance 
  • Professional development 
  • Identity consciousness in the workplace 
  • Self-advocacy 
  • Leadership development 
  • Conflict management 
  • And any other career needs you may have! 

During our program orientation, we’ll provide you guidance on how to use Firsthand, how to choose a mentor, and how to make the most of your time with us. Not only that, but we’ll also provide you with supplemental resources such as a mentee handbook, conversation guides, industry-specific career resources, and more!

Career Services for MSU Denver Alumni

The Office of Career Services provides assistance to all current students and alumni who are within one year of graduation. Alumni who graduated more than one year ago can still utilize several of our services and programs, except for career counseling appointments and career assessments.
