Zach Clark: Sr. Instructional Accessibility Specialist

Zach Clark

Zach Clark is a passionate educator with almost 15 years of experience serving students throughout the Denver Metro area. Raised in Arvada, CO, Zach graduated from Coe College as a licensed teacher with a BA in English. After moving back to the Denver area, Zach spent the better part of a decade engaging with students of all ages in a variety of contexts including athletics, spelling bees, credit recovery, enrichment courses, and GED prep courses. During this time, Zach realized that many of the barriers that impede student learning exist outside of the classroom. Expressing some of his concerns and frustrations to a friend, Zach learned about the fields of accessibility and disability services. So in February 2020, Zach joined MSU Denver as an Instructional Accessibility Specialist where he has been able to bring his passion for education while addressing and removing systemic barriers in education.

When he is not advocating for a more accessible world, Zach enjoys a variety of hobbies including outdoor activities (golf, hiking, snowboarding) as well as reading, writing, drawing, video games, and playing music.

Kathryn Williams: Instructional Accessibility Specialist

Kathryn WilliamsAfter a rocky undergrad experience at various institutions, Kathryn was finally successful with MSU Denver class of 2012. She earned her Master’s degree in Mathematics from Oregon State University and then taught at OSU for one year. Kathryn then returned to MSU Denver as a full-time instructor with the Mathematics department where she taught for six years. After a brief personal break, she returned (again!) to MSU Denver with the CTLD in her current role as an Instructional Accessibility Specialist.

“As someone with experience as faculty with MSU Denver, I know how limited time can be, which is why some of our recent verbiage has been focused on ‘Accessibility for Busy Faculty.’ Let us help you improve your course accessibility in ways that it can be implemented in a few minutes at a time.”
