The Department of Social Work at MSU Denver is seeking applicants for a full-time Clinical Field Faculty position with a focus on teaching and administration in field education, primarily assigned to the MSW Program. Position Summary:
This position is designed to increase the accessibility, intensity, and efficacy of mental health services for adults and families who are involved in the child welfare system. The Trauma Systems Therapy Clinician will provide individual therapy to consumers ages 4-21 and their families. Effectively engages consumer in the treatment process and goal-setting. Works constructively with consumer to meet agreed upon goals and objectives. Goals and objectives will be related to addressing parent or guardian trauma histories. Cherry Creek School District is excited to announce openings for School Social Workers in our Early Childhood Department. Cherry Creek School District is a diverse community with a strong emphasis on mental health, whole child wellness, and inclusive excellence for ALL families. CCSD provides robust mental health supports to its preschools. There are four roles within the early childhood department alone. Mild/Moderate Needs:Our Universal Pre-Kindergarten role is how our general education and more mild/moderate needs special education student will recieve mental health. This role is our most itinerent, and it involves a great deal of consultation, family support/outreach, and some assessment. There is some direct IEP service provision, but it is fairly minimal. Intensive Needs(Developmental):We also have 9 sites where we work with students whose needs are more intensive. These needs range from ASD to developmental delay. The MH provider in this role is at one location most of the time working with range of special education professionals. This role allows mental health professionals to become part of a team of service providers who collaborate to bring a range of services to children and their families. There is some direct service provision, and there is a great deal of opportunity to do work with families. Intensive Needs (Mental Health): Our most intensive mental health services are provided in our ECE Behavior Development Programs called “Early Connections”. These programs are run based on Bruce Perry’s work in the Neurosequential development model. The focus of these programs is trauma-informed relationship development, and helping kids build regulated time and experience in a school environment. These rooms are staffed with a full time Mental Health provider for each program. Child Find Evaluator: CCSD’s Child Find team works to the highest standards in the state of Colorado. Each evaluation team has a Mental Health professional. The Child Find team uses Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessments (TPBA-2) as a primary evaluative method.

Position Summary:
This position plays a key role in the intervention strategy of Denver Kids. The Educational SEL Counselor (ESC) will work directly with young people in DPS. The ESC will partner with school staff to ensure a team-based approach. The ESC is a coach and advocate, working closely with the youth, mentor, family and school to provide wrap-around support. In this role, the counselor will be responsible for enrolling students to their caseload each year, with support from peers and managers as needed. Through our Program Model called THRIVES, each ESC will be responsible for engaging in our Toolkit for Holistic Relationships, Intentional Validation, Entrepreneurship and Social Emotional Academic Learning (SEAL), with students. As part of this toolkit, counselors will be facilitating monthly learning modules with students focused on social emotional skills, financial education, and college and career readiness utilizing a curriculum. Position Summary:
Orientation, Transition, and Retention supports students in transition through high-quality orientation programs, preparing them for success at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver). We do this by facilitating intentional and purposeful programs to meet a variety of student and family needs, integrating students and families into the University community, developing and empowering student leaders and collaborating with key internal and external partners. We serve students and their individuals of support inclusive of their identities; first-time freshman, transfer students, non-traditional students (23 and older), student veterans, parents/families, Spanish speakers, and student leaders.

Position Summary (Please Read Entire Posting):
Alpine Achievers Initiative (AAI) inspires, connects, and nurtures youth, families, and communities in south-central Colorado. AmeriCorps members support local youth, from pre-k to highschool, through academic interventions and extracurricular programming as Student Engagement Specialists with AAI. During the 23/24 service term, members will be placed with host sites across seven counties throughout the San Luis and Arkansas River Valleys. SERVICE RESPONSIBILITIES IN PRIMARY PROGRAMS:
Member positions vary widely based on the needs of the site and where the position is located. Some positions focus on academic interventions, some on extracurricular programming, and others are a mix of in-school and out-of-school activities. All programs are in direct service with youth. AmeriCorps members are encouraged to connect with and support students both academically and socially/emotionally with the help of their program manager and site supervisor. Members are required to meet with program managers a minimum of once per month and with site supervisors a minimum of once per week to ensure success within their site. In addition, members are required to attend a week-long orientation that includes overnights in shared spaces, monthly professional development opportunities, and a winter retreat (including overnights). These requirements are meant to enrich the AmeriCorps member experience through personal and professional growth, reflection, and connection.
Academic Interventions:
Academic interventions are opportunities for students who are not proficient in a subject to receive additional support outside of class time. Primary responsibilities of AmeriCorps members doing academic intervention include 1:1 tutoring of students in areas such as math or reading under the supervision of their site supervisor and/or small group instruction of 3-5 students in a classroom setting. Members will become versed in behavioral management skills with an intended goal of building authentic relationships and confidence with students who are below learning targets in academics. Members will have daily contact with students and staff in a number of professional capacities and are encouraged to support them outside of the classroom in extracurricular capacities as well.
Out-of-School Programming:
Out-of-school time (OST) is a supervised program that youth attend when school is not in session. Examples include after-school programs such as the Boys and Girls Club, camps during school breaks, and a special AAI run Home School Program. Primary responsibilities of AmeriCorps members serving in out-of-school programming include facilitating an array of activities both in and out of doors. Other responsibilities include help with homework and light academic support as directed by their site supervisor. Members will become versed in behavioral management and group facilitation of students from elementary to high school age. Building relationships and confidence in the youth they are serving is the intended goal. AmeriCorps members are expected to help improve personal and social skills with the youth they are serving.
