Biography

Clinical Internship Faculty – MSW Concentration Year

Monica earned her MSW from Simmons College and has 30 years of experience in the Social Work profession. She joined the MSU Denver MSW Program as Clinical Internship Faculty in Fall 2023 after several years teaching School-Based Social Work Practice as an Adjunct Instructor. Throughout her professional career, Monica has been committed to and greatly enjoyed mentoring and supervising social workers as they develop in the profession. Monica has served as the Interim Director and Youth Program Manager for the University of Colorado Center on Domestic Violence and the Assistant Director and Senior Consultant for Wediko Children’s Services in Boston, MA. Working with systems to ensure accessible, safe, and inclusive learning environments is a passion.

When not working, you’ll find Monica hiking, kayaking, enjoying friends and family, cooking, and always seeking a new craft or gardening project.
