Katie Pachan Jacobson, MSW

Biography

Katie Pachan Jacobson (she/her), MSW joined MSU Denver in January of 2019 as an affiliate faculty through the Department of Social Work. Katie has more than twenty years of experience in policy, advocacy, and organizational leadership. She spent fifteen years with the Colorado Community Health Network, the statewide association of Community Health Centers, where she led policy efforts as the Policy Director for six years. Since 2019 Katie has worked with contract lobbying firms as a Government Affairs Associate utilizes her expertise in client engagement, strategic communications, policy analysis, advocacy, and organizational management. At MSU Denver, Katie has taught MSW courses on Health and Integrated Practice, the second year MSW students’ internship seminar course, and Advanced Policy and Advocacy. Katie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Ohio University, and a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Denver.
