No. The GRE, GMAT, or MAT testing is not required for admission to the MHA program.
You can apply while seeking your bachelor’s degree. However, final acceptance into the MHA program would require you to have a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited University acceptable by MSU Denver.
Our GPA requirement is a 3.00, however, we do consider lower GPA averages. GPA is only one of several areas of your application that we review.

No, in fact, our students are a mix of current health care professionals and people entering into health care for the first time! Our students, like our faculty, come from a variety of backgrounds and experience.
Prior college level coursework is required in accounting, statistics, and economics. However, if you have not taken these classes, we can help. In lieu of this academic preparation, students can complete the requirements via Peregrine Academic Services (online and low cost). Visit MHA Admissions for more details.
You will take thirteen classes and a capstone course.

Most of the courses are 8-weeks in fall, spring and summer to meet the needs of working adults. There are two exceptions, our Health Administration: Capstone Preparation class is 2 weeks long and our Health Administration Capstone: Internship (150 Field Hours) or Thesis is 16 weeks long.

The review process can take up to month, but we usually have an answer back to you in three weeks.

Our students complete their capstone in a variety of environments as it is aligned closely with their personal career goals. For example, Students have completed their residencies at Denver Health, Children’s Hospital, Prime Health, Eaton Senior Community and Aurora Mental Health Center, just to name a few.
Students research a variety of topics based on their interests. Most recently this includes, COVID 19 supply chain challenges in Colorado, ageism, medication utilization in Emergency Departments, and emotional intelligence training for nurses.
