WINTER CLOTHING DRIVE CONTINUES THROUGH NOVEMBER 20

Winter Donation Drive! Nov 2-20

As colder weather approaches, the Healthcare Leaders (HCL) Student Organization is kicking off our Winter Clothing & Essential Needs Drive during Spirit Week! Our hope is to make essential resources more accessible to members of our campus community throughout the winter season. Contact us at [email protected] with any questions.

We encourage faculty, staff, and students to participate in whatever way they can!

👕 Donate Clothing & Essentials

Have gently used clothing or extra winter essentials? We are collecting gently used clothing for men, women, and children, along with winter essentials, toiletries, and other necessities. Donations will be accepted through November 20, and every contribution helps us support our campus community!

💙 Take What You Need

This drive is about supporting one another! Starting November 3, members of our campus community are welcome to stop by, browse the available donations, and take any items they need through December 4. No donation is required to participate.

Whether you donate, pick up needed items, or spread the word, we invite you to be part of this effort to help our community stay supported as the weather gets colder.

Nov 2nd: GRAND ROUNDS: COVID-19 Disparities in Colorado

Title: A Qualitative Evaluation of Local Efforts to Reduce COVID-19 Disparities in Colorado

Presenter: Anne Hill, MA, MPH, DrPH MSU Denver Affiliate Faculty

Description: his event is led by Dr. Anne Hill, Senior Data Specialist and Evaluator at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE), and Affiliate Faculty in the Department of Health Professions at MSU. This interactive MSU Denver Grand Rounds session invites students to learn about an outcome evaluation that assessed how local organizations leveraged federal funds to reduce the multiple impacts of COVID-19 in Colorado. The evaluation synthesized data from 66 grantees on whether and how they achieved short-term outcomes of improving vaccine literacy and access. The study also explores reported secondary benefits of building community capacity to address SDoH. The session concludes with a facilitated discussion on the impacts of COVID-19 on historically marginalized populations and lessons learned that we could use for future public health emergencies.

Learn More About Dr. Anne Hill: 

Anne has worked in public health for the last fifteen years including in local, state, federal, and academic settings. Her experience spans from emergency preparedness to substance use prevention. She is currently work as a program evaluator at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. She has a DrPh from the Colorado School of Public Health with an emphasis in Community and Behavioral Health.
