International Welcoming

International Student Services will meet you at the International Student Welcoming & DSO Check- In

F-1 students that are new to MSU Denver need to partake in the International Student Welcoming. The Welcoming event is different from the New Student Orientation. While the New Student Orientation covers information about life at MSU Denver, it doesn’t cover information that is specifically for F-1 Students. The International Student Welcoming is primarily about maintaining and understanding the rules and regulations of your non-immigrant student status.  The International Student Welcoming is an on-campus event for both graduate and undergraduate students.  You can register HERE!

Please bring the following original documents with you:

  • I-94 ( https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/history-search)
  • Passport
  • Visa
  • Current I-20

Students who do not bring these documents cannot have their I-20 registered as a part of the DSO check-in. Copies or digital versions are not accepted.

Meeting your DSO is federally mandated for all F-1 students. Every international student must report to International Student Support and have their immigration documents reviewed.
