Inter-Institutional Program

1. Complete the MSU Denver Inter-Institutional Application with your personal and course information and apply to CCD online (www.ccd.edu/apply)
2. Submit the form to the MSU Denver Office of the Registrar via email at [email protected]
3. If the Inter-Institutional Application is approved, the MSU Denver Office of the Registrar will forward it to the CCD Office of Registration and Records for final approval
4. Log into CCDConnect from www.ccd.edu/ with your S# and password and register for your course(s)

MSU Denver students are prohibited from registering for:

• HPS (Human Performance and Sports) courses.
• Any online courses (indicated in the course description including CCCS and CCD online courses).
• CCD Correspondence courses.
• CCD Off-campus courses (Only main campus courses are allowed).
• Remedial courses (any course below the 100-level).
• Non-transferrable courses. It is the student’s responsibility to verify if a CCD Inter-Institutional course is transferable.

Inter-Institutional application deadlines vary by semester. To find current and upcoming deadlines, review the Important Dates and Deadlines webpage or MSU Denver’s Academic Calendar.

Unfortunately, we are unable to extend the Inter-Institutional Application deadline. You are responsible for following the procedures and deadlines set by both institutions. Late applications will not be processed after the deadline. No exceptions.

Alternate options if you missed the deadline:

• Submit an application for a future semester.
• Meet with your academic advisor to review other course options to support your education journey.

Yes. You are required to submit an updated Inter-Institutional Application each semester you would like to register for courses through this program.

Tuition will be assessed at MSU Denver and must be paid by the payment deadline. Depending on the course(s) you register for, you may be assessed host additional course fees.

Verify your fees at CCD. If you registered for non-approved courses, you would be financially responsible for the tuition fee.

The credit hours for the inter-institutional courses taken at CCD will be included in your enrollment hours at MSU Denver and will count towards your MSU Denver enrollment status.  

For example, if you are enrolled in 6 hours at MSU and 6 hours at CCD through the inter-institutional program, your enrollment will at MSU Denver would be considered full-time at 12 hours.   All financial aid will be offered and paid through MSU Denver. 

You are able to receive your COF stipend funds when registering through the Inter-Institutional Program IF:

• The course is COF eligible
• You are eligible for COF stipend funds
• You have authorized COF at MSU Denver

No. The course(s) will automatically appear on your MSU Denver academic record.

If you do not see your course(s) on your record, please contact the Academic Records Team in the Office of the Registrar at [email protected].

To resolve your Inter-Institutional Hold at MSU Denver, you can contact the Academic Records Team in the Office of the Registrar at [email protected].

MSU Denver will email you the registration details. Students must follow the instructions from MSU Denver to successfully register for their Inter-Institutional course(s). Students should register themselves if they are planning to attend this host institution. In addition, the tuition fees for all classes will be paid at CCD, except for any program fees that may be required. Students will receive an email or mail correspondence if program fees are due.

No. CCD students registering through the Inter-Institutional Program cannot join a waitlist. They must officially register for a class.
