Contact UsRowdy Rally is MSU Denver’s official welcome event to kick off the academic year and ignite Roadrunner spirit. The day begins with “Rowdy & Ready,” where students can explore campus, find their classes, and get set for the semester. A Welcome Ceremony follows, featuring inspirational remarks from university leadership and special guests. The afternoon wraps up with the Roadrunner Carnival—a high-energy celebration with food, games, music, and opportunities to connect with the campus community. It’s the perfect way for new students to start their journey and for returning students to celebrate a new beginning.

Each office will able to answer questions pertaining to bill pay, financial aid, accommodations, and handle any student related business. The following student service offices will be available 10am – 12:30 pm:
The campus bookstore, located in Tivoli Suite 205, is open to help you get ready for the semester. Whether you need textbooks, school supplies, or other academic essentials, this is your one-stop shop.

Please note, not all majors and programs within each school and college will be represented. Advisors may answer general questions.
The student ID Station is located in the Tivoli, Second floor, across from the Tivoli Bookstore. You can receive your MSU Denver ID here; this is available from 8am – 5pm.
Tours will be available from 10:15-11:30am offering a preview of various spaces on campus. Spanish and English speaking tours are available.
Academic schedules are available to print in the Peer Mentor Office (Tivoli – Suite 223) 10am – 12:30pm.
MSU Denver has three racial identity support programs and one identity center. For our Black/African/African American, Asian Pacific Islander, and Native Indigenous Students on campus; these services will be available throughout the year in Tivoli 129.
The LGBTQ Student Resource Center is in Tivoli 213 and resources are available throughout the year as well.

The Welcome Ceremony is MSU Denver’s official kickoff for all new students. Join us as campus leaders—including our President, Provost, and student representatives—formally welcome you to the Roadrunner community. This tradition features symbolic activities and a spirited celebration to mark the start of your MSU Denver journey.
This year’s featured speaker is Bianca Machado, an MSU Denver alumna and current Learning Manager at one of the world’s largest corporations. Originally from the vibrant country of Brazil, Bianca’s journey as a first-generation Latinx student and immigrant has inspired students worldwide. Her story is one of resilience, transformation, and the power of education.
A lively celebration featuring games, food, music, and opportunities for students to build community.
Food and drinks will be available from 1 – 5pm under the big tent. Food will be family cookout style. Non-meat, non-dairy, and gluten free options will be available.
Various giveaway items for students during the carnival. All on a first come, first serve basis.
Novelty activity available on a first come, first serve basis. Students will be able to create their own airbrush t-shirt.
Various recognized student organization will be hosting activities during the carnival. This is a great time to get involved in campus life and join an organization that interests you!

All students who are attending must RSVP for Rowdy Rally and will receive an email reminder with event details and a parking discount code the week of the event.
Student RSVP for Rowdy RallyNeighboring parking lots to the Jordan Student Success Lawn are the 7th Street Garage, Dogwood and Tivoli Garage. The Spruce parking lot will be closed for Rowdy Rally festivities. All campus parking lots require payment upon parking at the machines located within the lot.
With your Rowdy Rally RSVP, parking is FREE. You should receive a confirmation email with your parking code for the event if you RSVP’d. This parking code will need to be entered into the machine once parked in the lot of your choice. What to Wear: Wear what makes you comfortable. Note: half of the event will take place outdoors. Dress for the summer heat, and don’t forget your sunscreen.
Auraria Events Center restrictions: Balloons (with helium) and any food/drink are prohibited inside the events center. No signs or banners to maintain a good line of sight to the ceremony.
