School of Education Masters Hooding Ceremony and Celebration

The School of Education Masters Hooding Ceremony and Celebration is a special recognition event for master’s degree candidates, symbolizing their successful completion of their graduate program. During this celebration, capstones are presented and then students are honored in the hooding ceremony, when a faculty member places a hood over the candidate’s head, signifying their achievement. This event is held in addition to the regular Commencement ceremony and is a personal occasion for graduates and their families to celebrate their academic success.
