How to get the Online Learning Scholarship

Good news: there is no application for this scholarship and awards are not need based.
If you are eligible, you will automatically receive the scholarship each fall and/or spring that you are elligible.

Online Learning Scholarship Eligibility Requirements

If you are in a fully online undergraduate major or certificate program, you can receive the Online Learning Scholarship every fall and spring. Awards are based on the number of online credits you take that semester. There are no awards in the summer semester.

Award amounts per semester

  • 12+ online credits: $1,000
  • 9 to 11 online credits: $750
  • 6 to 8 online credits: $500

Awards are subject to available funding.

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.0.
  • Complete the requirements for the Online Student Success Seminar (if it is your first semester at MSU Denver).
  • Meet with your Online Student Success Coach or attend a virtual workshop at least once every fall and spring semester. Learn about Student Success Coaches or check out our virtual events.

Already an MSU Denver student? Change Your Major to Fully Online

If you are currently in an on-campus or mixed program and want to be considered for the Online Learning Scholarship,
the key step is switching to a fully online major. Once you are in an online major, register for eligible online credits in fall or spring and you will be automatically considered for the scholarship.
