In-Person, Hybrid, & Fully Online Degrees
At MSU Denver, we have a variety of online degree options where you can attend in person, sometimes in person, or always online. In fact, more than 66% of students are taking online courses in some capacity.
- In-person: All required courses are available in a specified physical location. Enroll in the in-person program.
- Hybrid: 50% or more of required courses are available at least once a year through asynchronous and synchronous online instruction. Enroll in the in-person program and take any available online courses.
- Online: All required courses are available at least once a year through asynchronous and synchronous online instruction. To obtain priority seating, enroll in the online program.

Plus, at MSU Denver, we see accessible and affordable higher education as the foundation of the American dream. Nearly 80% of students work full or part time throughout the school year. About 46% of enrolled students receive scholarships and/or grants.
Online learning comes with the potential for yearly scholarships. And online students are assigned a success coach to help remove barriers to graduating.

Funding Options for Online Learning Students
Renewable Online Student Scholarships
MSU Denver has a renewable scholarship for continuing, new, and returning online students. There is no application but there are eligibility requirements. Learn more about each scholarship based on your student status.
MSU Denver Scholarships
The MSU Denver Foundation offers hundreds of privately funded scholarships to students every year, based on academics, achievement and financial need. The only way to apply for this is through the general application portal.
The Roadrunner Promise
Roadrunner Promise (RRP) covers the student's share of in-state tuition and published mandatory fees for students who qualify for up to 15 credits.
The Colorado Promise Tax Credit
Colorado Promise is a Colorado state tax credit for students who attend public institutions and have family incomes of $90,000 or less. Please speak to an Online Enrollment Counselor for details.
