 Submit Your 2018-2019 FAFSA Now!!

Students may now complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2018-2019 academic year (Fall 2018, Spring 2019 and Summer 2019) at www.fafsa.gov .

The 2018-2019 FAFSA is based on 2016 federal tax information. And there is great news. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool (DRT) has returned!  Students and parents can submit federal tax information via the IRS DRT directly to the FAFSA for streamlined processing.

And do you still need aid for 2017-2018?

‌Students can still complete the 2017-2018 FAFSA for the current academic year (Fall 2017, Spring 2018, Summer 2018) at www.fafsa.gov. You will need to use federal tax information from 2015.

Would You Like Assistance Completing the FAFSA?

We are offering great options to assist our students and families who are completing the FAFSA:

One-on-one FAFSA help is available every Monday and Thursday from 9am-4:30pm in the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships - Student Success Building (SSB), Counter 6

  • We are excited to welcome the Educational Opportunity Center (EOC) as a new partner in delivering financial aid services to our students. EOC representatives will be available to help students and families one-on-one with completing the FAFSA application.  Students may walk-in or contact us at 303-556-8593 to schedule an appointment.

It is important to file your FAFSA early as we may request additional information from you and/or your parents in order to complete your financial aid file.

MSU will award funds to students who have applied for aid, completed their file and meet all eligibility requirements. The amount of financial aid you are offered could depend, in part, on the date you completed your financial aid file. Early applicants have a better chance of being offered more types of financial aid depending on need.

All admitted MSU Denver students will receive an acknowledgment email once we have received their FAFSA each year. Be sure to check your MSU Student Hub for important updates.
