Each Career Launchpad course is part of an MSU Denver academic pathway, allowing learners to grow their knowledge in an area of study without the pressure of committing to a degree.
These short, online courses are developed as standalone education that provide a critical introduction to a wide range of industries. Career Launchpad courses take 4-8 weeks to complete and are self-paced online, allowing learners to complete them at their own pace, in their own time.
Upon completing a course, you will not only gain essential knowledge and skills but also receive a digital skills badge and a certificate from MSU Denver, validating your accomplishments. This certificate signifies your expertise and readiness to apply what you’ve learned in real-world scenarios.

How certificates and stackable credentials work together
Each course works as standalone education or has different career and academic pathways. Once you successfully complete the course, you can immediately enter the workforce with newly learned skills. Or you can convert the course to three credits and continue to an MSU Denver certificate or degree.
You will receive a digital badge embedded with the competencies learned. You can include this badge on your resume, LinkedIn page, portfolio, or share it with an employer. Students will also receive a certificate of completion.
The cost to convert Career Launchpad courses to credit is currently included in tuition
The cost for the Credit-By-Exam (CBE) is currently included in course tuition for all eligible students. Eligibility is based on completing the course and instructor approval.
The CBE is made up of additional course modules or might be a final project or paper. Each course is slightly different. Students still need to register for the CBE and finish within the dates listed.
