The HRSA-Nutrition Scholars Program is designed to help cover college costs including tuition, fees, insurance, books, computer, supplies, and living expenses while pursuing an undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition – Dietetics, Nutrition and Dietetics, or as an undergraduate student in the Nutrition and Dietetics 3+2 program. Awards are available for low-income and/or first-generation college students enrolled full-time (at least 12 credits per semester) who demonstrate financial need through submission of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). In addition to receiving funds to cover college costs, HRSA-Nutrition Scholars will participate in multiple program activities throughout the academic year.
As part of the HRSA grant, the Department of Nutrition offers undergraduate students studying dietetics at MSU Denver the opportunity to apply for the HRSA-Nutrition Scholars Program which can award up to $40,000 per student per year.

The POHA-Denver Diversify Nutrition Scholarship and Stipend Program applications are currently open.
The scholarship/stipend cycle will open from March 1st until April 30th. Dietetic Internship Applicants must wait to apply after confirmation of matching to the DI program.

The Department of Nutrition would like to invite you to apply for an MSND scholarship. Scholarship awards may vary from $500 to $5,000 and will be awarded in the Fall 2022 semester! Applications are due by Friday, April 15th.

Eligibility requirements include being accepted into the MSND program (if a new student), enrollment in at least one MSND course at the time of the award, demonstration of commitment to the profession and strong writing skills in the scholarship essay responses, meeting Academic Standing Policies of the MSND program. Details concerning this scholarship are emailed to all enrolled graduate students when the scholarship application cycle approaches.
The Latinos and Hispanics in Dietetics and Nutrition Member Interest Group of the Academy is now accepting applications for our FNCE Student Scholarship. TWO members will be selected for this award.
Each scholarship recipient will receive $800 USD to cover registration, travel, and lodging expenses to attend FNCE® this year! The applicant must be able to attend in person. FNCE® will be held on October 8th – 11th, 2022 in Orlando, FL. Note that students can still register to become a LAHIDAN member to be eligible for this award and the cost is only $10 for the year.

The Denver Dietetic Association’s Diversity Action Committee recognizes the need to diversify the field of nutrition and dietetics and has created the Diversity Advancement Scholarship to support a person from an underrepresented demographic in entering the field of dietetics by contributing to the costs associated with the Dietetic Internship.

This scholarship includes $1000 and participation in a mentorship program through Metropolitan State University. Scholarship contingent upon acceptance into a full-time dietetic internship (DI). All application materials must be submitted by May 1, 2022. Application materials can be submitted here. Our selection committee will begin reviewing applications in May and will notify scholarship applicants of their decisions by June 1, 2022

This barrier is one that Diversify Dietetics have had a goal to address and now they are thrilled to launch the Diversify Dietetics Scholarships and Grants for 2022. The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation offers scholarships to Academy members enrolling in dietetic internships. To be considered for Academy Foundation scholarships, you must complete the Academy Foundation scholarship application, which is usually due February 15th prior to internship enrollment and is available through the Academy website.
Undergraduate Teaching Assistantship positions are offered by the Office of Academic Affairs’ Undergraduate Studies program.
