The Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) showcases your knowledge of analytical, writing, quantitative, verbal, and reading skills through a computer adaptive test. Currently, the GMAT is available both in-person and online.
The in-person GMAT includes four sections: Analytical writing (30 minutes- 1 essay), Integrated Reasoning (30 minutes- 12 questions), Quantitative (75 minutes- 37 questions), and Verbal (75 minutes- 41 questions). Test-takers choose at the beginning of the exam in which order they will complete the sections. For more information, or to register for the in-person GMAT, visit https://www.mba.com/exams/gmat.
The online GMAT includes three sections: Quantitative, Verbal, and Integrated Reasoning sections (excludes the Analytical writing section). The online GMAT offers the same time, scoring, and number of items as the test center-based exam. Additionally, the online GMAT is available 24/7 and can be taken via Windows or Mac computers. GMAT scores range from 200-800. The MBA Admissions Committee conducts a holistic review of your admissions materials (resume, personal essay, undergraduate GPA, GMAT score, etc.) so there is no exact number an applicant needs to earn to be considered for the graduate program.

Prospective students must register for the GMAT at www.mba.com and request their scores to be sent to MSU Denver as part of check-in for the test. Please use our school code: S51-6H-79.
Scores can take up to two weeks to send. MBA admissions staff will confirm receipt of scores via email within two weeks of scores being received.
