Enter the Aerospace Workforce with Industry-Focused Training

Aerospace Workforce Training prepares you for careers across the aerospace industry through three integrated courses: Introduction to Aerospace Project Analysis, Space Flight Operations Fundamentals, and Aerospace Systems Design and Integration. You’ll build skills in project evaluation, mission operations, and systems engineering. Additionally, you will learn how aerospace projects are planned and analyzed, how flight operations are managed, and how complex aerospace systems are designed and integrated. Together, these courses provide a practical foundation for entering aerospace engineering, operations, and project management roles. This program is TECP eligible, meaning a grant may cover the full cost of tuition.

TECP State Grant Funding

The Technology Employment in Colorado Partnership (TECP), a workforce initiative of the City and County of Denver, may help cover the cost of this program for eligible Colorado residents pursuing a career in aerospace workforce training.

Getting Started

1. Review eligibility criteria to determine if you might qualify.

2. Create a Connecting Colorado Account and complete the initial assessment form.

3. Once you have created your Connecting Colorado account, email [email protected] and share that you are interested in pursuing aerospace workforce training. A resume and information on previous experience is appreciated to help determine eligibility. Afterwards, you will be connected with a case manager who will support you moving forward.

3. Eligible students can secure grant funding and enroll in aerospace courses with no out-of-pocket cost.

Who Qualifies / Eligibility

  • Age 17 or older
  • Colorado resident, any county
  • Unemployed, underemployed, or looking to transition to a tech career
  • All backgrounds welcome, no prior IT experience required

Michael Botyarov

Michael Botyarov

Michael Botyarov completed his PhD at Colorado State University in Systems Engineering. His area of research focuses on human factors in the context of systems engineering and project management tools, particularly generative design technology with aerospace applications. Michael has experience as a Program Manager at Sierra Nevada Corporation, specifically with experience on production and sustainment programs. Skills include writing proposals, developing schedules, managing budgets, and communicating with stakeholders. Prior to being a program manager, Michael was a systems engineer at United Launch Alliance where he worked on developing requirements for the Interim Cryogenic Propulsion Stage (ICPS) for the Space Launch System (SLS). Michael was also a systems engineer at Maxar Technologies where he worked on the ground system for the WorldView-4 satellite. This technical experience allows him to provide valuable engineering insight when making program management decisions. Michael has also earned a Master of Science in Systems Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, a MBA from CU Denver, and a Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
