Compensation Project Updates

A project is underway to create a more robust and flexible system that rewards talent and allows MSU Denver to remain competitive.

The Metropolitan State University of Denver Office of Human Resources is developing a new compensation structure that will align with the University’s mission and recognize our most important resource: our people.

The documents below will assist you in learning the new structure and guidelines:

Organizational & Compensation Statement Training

All Employees

Below are the details of the meetings with links to the streaming trainings.  A HR Communications email will also go out to all employees with the below details as well.

Thank you for your continued support of the compensation project. We are excited to inform you we will be moving forward with the last stage of the compensation project for professional staff. The last step involves providing supervisors and employees detailed base pay information outlining how positions and employees align in the new structure. Since we know many of you are anxious to understand this information, we encourage you to attend one of the trainings below and familiarize yourself with the compensation documents already provided to educate you on the new compensation structure.

On April 22nd, each Professional and Executive employee will receive a personalized "2020 Position & Base Pay Statement.” This statement will outline how your position fits within the Position Structure as well as outline your position’s salary grade and you within the overall salary range. Additionally, your statement will direct you to internal resources for further education.

Last November, all of you were encouraged to attend training on our new structures.  We firmly believe that attending training and hearing expectations is key to you fully understanding your statement.  As a result, we will host and facilitate a number of online training sessions for you to follow along with a presentation and participate in a Questions & Answers (Q&A) session.  See below for schedule and meeting information.  Please mark your calendar for the session that works best for you:
