Annual essay competition established in 1998 to honor Lincoln vet George Watt, a writer and lifelong activist central to the creation of ALBA. Entries must be at between 3,500-12,500 words, in Spanish or English, about any aspect of the Spanish Civil War, the global political or cultural struggles against fascism in 1920s and 1930s, or the lifetime histories and contributions of the international volunteers who fought in support of the Spanish Republic from 1936 to 1938.
AASA’s Educational Administration Scholarships were created in 1949 to provide incentive, honor and financial assistance to outstanding graduate students in school administration who intend to make the school superintendency a career.

Offers an essay contest and fellowship opportunity.
