The Women in Cybersecurity (WiCyS) Events Archive showcases a variety of events designed to engage and support undergraduate and graduate students interested in and majoring in cybersecurity.
Past events include hands-on technical workshops, presentations from the Speakers Bureau featuring industry professionals and academic leaders, community-building game nights, and interactive code-breaking and cybersecurity challenge competitions.
These events provide opportunities for students to develop technical skills, explore career pathways, connect with mentors and peers, and participate in a welcoming community that promotes learning, leadership, and professional growth in cybersecurity.

Event Details: The MSU Denver WiCyS chapter is hosting a hands-on cybersecurity event focused on password safety. Attendees will explore how weak passwords are exposed using MD5 hash analysis in a live Kali Linux VM demo. The session highlights ethical hacking basics and empowers members to strengthen their digital security practices.
