THE OFFICE OF FINANCIAL AID & SCHOLARSHIPS: IMPORTANT INFORMATION

The FAFSA for 2016-2017 is available now. Students are encouraged to use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool to complete their FAFSA. The IRS Data Retrieval Tool is available to students and parents 2-3 weeks after the IRS has accepted your Federal Income Tax Return electronically (8-11 weeks if the return was filed by mail).

Short Term Loan applications are now being accepted for the Fall 2016 semester. Students must have a completed 2016-2017 financial aid file with awards in accepted/pending disbursement status to be considered for a financial aid advance via the SHORT TERM LOAN PROGRAM. Please Note: if a student is enrolled in the Summer 2016 semester, a Fall 2016 Short Term Loan application may be held for review until Summer grads post - based on the student's current academic standing. The MSU Denver Scholarship application for the 2016-2017 aid year is AVAILABLE NOW on the Scholarship page. The priority deadline for applications is March 1, 2016. Applications are accepted until November 1, 2016. May 2, 2016 is the MSU Denver institutional scholarship priority deadline; complete your FAFSA and financial aid file by this date.

IMPORTANT: Email is the official form of communication at Metropolitan State University of Denver. All financial aid correspondence is sent to students via their MSU Denver Email accounts. Check your school email often.
