Reference information that may be helpful in your interactions with our grads and their guests:
Although parking in and around downtown Denver and the Convention Center can be challenging, there are numerous options, and planning transportation and parking ahead of time is recommended.
We highly encourage using the drop off/pick up location outside of the Convention Center for, groups carpooling together, any individual(s) in wheelchairs, or those who may not be able to walk for periods of time.
Consider the following options for parking and transportation:
Those who plan to park on the Auraria campus may choose to enjoy a 15-20 minute walk to the Convention Center, depending on the parking location on campus. Additionally, RTD’s ‘Holiday Train’ is now open, and those interested in this option may board at the ‘Colfax at Auraria Station’ and depart the train at the next stop, the ‘Theatre District/Convention Center’ station. More information and a map of the Holiday Train Route can be found here.
As you cheer them on, you can help point graduates in the right direction and help with all the little things that make Commencement possible. Because many of you have instructed, advised and mentored students on their journey to a degree, your participation is an integral part of the day.
A marshal role cheat sheet can be found here
If you have questions or concerns, please email the Commencement team via [email protected].
All marshals are required to rent regalia, unless you own your own. The deadline to order regalia was Friday, Oct. 10.
If you have not ordered regalia yet and you do not have your own, you must get in contact with the commencement team by emailing us at [email protected] ASAP.
Regalia is free for all faculty and staff who ordered through the provided link and picked up their regalia on campus at Cap and Gown Pick-Up or on Commencement Day in the assembly area.
