Request Information
Ready to find out what MSU Denver can do for you? We’ve got you covered.
Advisors experience a high volume of requests related to class registration and schedule changes at the beginning of the term. To support as many students as possible, advisors will adjust their schedules January 12 to 26 to prioritize drop-in hours and faster email responses.
Please review the information for your academic department below to see advising availability.
If you want to talk with your advisor about planning out future semesters, long term planning, or in-depth discussions, please schedule an appointment after January 26.
Not sure how to get support? Email [email protected] with your name and student ID number, stop by West Classroom 153, or call us at 303-615-1099 and our team can help you figure out where to go!
Drop-in advising is a time when advisors are available to meet with students as they arrive, with no pre-scheduled appointments. Because students are seen in the order they arrive, there may be a wait to see an advisor. These times are designed for quick questions (10-15 minute meetings) to help with things like schedule adjustments or course recommendations. In the College of Health & Human Sciences, we offer drop-ins both in person and virtually via Microsoft Teams.
Advisors are also setting aside time in their calendars to respond to emails from students as quickly as possible – when you email your advisor with a question, make sure to always include your student ID number and major. Be as specific as possible in your question. Similar to drop-in advising, email advising is best suited for simple questions, such as schedule adjustments or course recommendations. Depending on the complexity of your question, your advisor may recommend scheduling an appointment or coming to drop-in advising.
Your MSU Denver advisor is here to help you succeed, academically and beyond. Whether you’re planning your schedule, exploring career paths, or navigating college life, we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Talk to your advisor early and often. Many of our team members are first-gen grads who understand what it’s like to start or restart college — and they’re ready to listen, guide, and open doors.
You can always call us at 303-615-1099 or email [email protected] and we can help you get connected!
