Our virtual outreach efforts are designed to promote psychoeducation on some of the developmental needs of students.

We also provide class presentations on a variety of mental health topics aimed at reducing stigma and promoting use of psychological treatment. They are focused on effective interpersonal communications, the management of stress, adjusting to life changes, and suicide awareness and prevention.

Suicide Prevention and Awareness Day
The MSU Denver Counseling Center is supporting the Office of Case Management at CU Denver with their annual Suicide Prevention March on Tuesday September 5th from 11:00 a.m. – 1 p.m. near the Tivoli Quad Bandshell on campus. The MSU Counseling Center will have a table at the event.
There will be a resource fair, giveaways (t-shirts), and pizza for participants. The goal of this event is to spread awareness of mental health support in our community and to reduce stigma of suicide and mental health struggles.
National Depression Awareness Screening Day
Wednesday, October 4, 2023,
11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Location: Tivoli Multicultural Lounge
The Counseling Center will provide free screenings and resources that are open to the Auraria Community.
These are opportunities to gain more knowledge about Depression, Eating Disorders, and Substance Abuse, as well as healthy ways to improve your mood and behaviors.
Refreshments will be provided.
