Center for Individualized Learning
Metro Meritus Program
This program allows persons aged 60 years or older to participate for free in courses offered by the University on a non-credit basis. Most courses are eligible for this program based on the approval of the professor and the availability of space. For more information on which types of courses are eligible, instructions on applying for the program, searching for classes, and accessing the Student Hub, please see our Resources.
Metro Meritus students are not allowed to register until the first day of classes. Professors must verify that empty seats exist in their classes prior to allowing any Metro Meritus students to attend.
Please contact the Center for Individualized Learning, at 303-615-0525, should you have questions or need assistance with the program. Thank you!
Information Regarding Change of Class Status
Due to the coronavirus the university has decided to place all classes online beginning Monday, March 30, 2020. The Metro Meritus program does not support online classes; however at this time, and for the remainder of the semester, this guideline is being lifted. Metro Meritus students will be allowed to complete their Spring 2020 courses online just as paying students will. Faculty may use Blackboard or Microsoft Teams to deliver content. Please check with your individual faculty members to determine how they are going to deliver the course content. Metro Meritus students have always had access to Blackboard and you also have access to Microsoft Teams. Contact the Information Technology department for assistance in accessing either of these applications. Their phone number is 303-352-7548. Be prepared to give them your student identification number. Please be patient as wait times may be longer than usual. As always, contact Susan Heath, Metro Meritus Coordinator, at 303-615-0525, or at email@example.com should you have questions.
