Computing plays a major role in nearly every sector of daily life and field of study. Computer Science (CS) addresses the interaction of humans and computers as well as the application of computing to a myriad of goals. The CS minor may be invaluable to students in any field by enabling them to take full advantage of computing in their chosen disciplines. The CS minor prepares students to competitively manage computing and cyber aspects of their professions, and to remain current with this rapidly changing technology.

A grade of “C-” or better is required in each course included in the minor. Students should note that programs differ in the minimum grade required.

Note: A major that requires a minor in mathematics or computer science can specify the courses for such a minor and the total hours required may differ from the hour totals listed below. Please consult the listings included with those majors.
