MSU Denver has a diverse array of student service offerings and programmatic opportunities in which students may engage. Faculty and staff play a critical role in helping students find and navigate relevant services.  

 This guide is designed to be an ‘at-a-glance’ resource for colleagues about most – but not all – of the available student support.

Academic Support

Supplemental Instruction

Supports students enrolled in traditionally difficult courses by offering free, regularly scheduled group meetings with current students who previously succeeded in the course.

Provides academic, economic, personal, and career support for students with experience in different systems of care (foster care, legal guardianship, kinship care, division of youth services) or who self-identify as unaccompanied youth, emancipated minors and independent students through the Financial Aid office

Health Center at Auraria

A tri-institutional health center that specializes in college health. Offering in-person and telehealth appointments for medical and mental health needs, on-site lab testing, X-ray services, immunizations, testing, and outreach programs. Physicians specializing in psychiatry, family medicine, sports medicine, GYN, and gender affirming care.

Counseling Center

Provides a broad range of relevant therapy groups; short- term, goal-focused individual counseling; walk-in and crisis appointments; consultations; and clinical case management services.

Recreation and Well-Being

The Office of Student Intervention Services (SIS) at MSU Denver engages students that have an overall GPA below 2.00. Our staff and advising professionals manage the MSU Denver Academic Standing Policy by sending out informational notifications and providing advising and support to these students.
