Healthy Pursuits offers group fitness classes that are free of charge for all MSU Denver students, faculty, and staff.
Please stop by the Campus Recreation Desk (PE 108) to activate your class pass for the Summer 2026 semester.
Maymester fitness classes start on Monday May 18 and run through Thursday May 28.
Summer fitness classes will start on MondayJune 8.

This class is designed to bring you the best of both worlds, Indoor Cycling and Barre. 25 Minutes of each will give you a total body workout that will increase your endurance and help you sweat off the long week’s stress. No cycle or barre experience needed.
This class provides a full body workout! Get ready to challenge yourself in an upbeat and welcoming environment. A wide range of equipment will be used to provide the ideal workout. This class is open to all fitness levels
This yoga style involves slower sequences of physicval postures and breathing exercices as well as meditation practice all aimed at bringing a healthier mind and body balance and harmony to all participants.
Join us for a Latin and world rhythm dance fitness party that mixes low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style workout.

Getting Started
If you are interested in personal training, please visit the Campus Recreation desk to complete the client intake packet
Once this form is completed, you will be asigned a trainer and a fitness assessment will be scheduled (sessions must be purchased before fitness assesment takes place).
If you are having issues completing this step, please email Jason at [email protected] or stop by the Recreation Desk (PE 108) for assistance.
Program Policies
All our sessions are 60 minutes long. Sessions are scheduled between the client and trainer and are appointment only. We require 48 hours in advance notice.
All program sessions expire a year after purchase. These are non-refundable and non-transferable.

NASM Certified Personal Trainer
Zavon was a personal trainer at a few commercial gyms as well as a few physical therapy offices for about 4 years before coming to MSU Denver to pursue a career as a Physical Therapist. His reason for getting into this field is to help anybody, and everybody achieve their goals no matter where they are in their fitness journey.
NSCA Certified Personal Trainer
Jo brings with her several years of experience in the fitness field. She believes the gym should be a place for everyone and movement is medicine. Her experience in a wide variety of sports and styles of lifting helps her bring functional movement to everyone, whether a seasoned athlete or completely new to the gym. Outside of school she plays for Denver’s premier queer water polo team and takes whatever time she can to go to the mountains.
ACE Certified Personal Trainer
Jaylen is currently pursuing a Sports Science degree at MSU Denver. As a personal trainer, his mission is to help clients reach their goals safely and effectively through structured programming that emphasizes quality movement, gradual progression, and a personalized approach to achieve long-term success.
NASM Certified Personal Trainer
Imanol is currently a Sports Science major and part of the Exercise Science club at MSU Denver. He believes that exercise leads to a happy body and a happy mind, which allows gives people the ability to absorb the most out of life with friends and family. Imanol aims to help everyone reach their fitness goals in a supportive and encouraging environment.
NASM Certified Personal Trainer
Lemmy is a personal trainer with six amazing years of experience and a current exercise science major at MSU Denver. He is all about helping people crush their fitness goals and loves seeing their smiles as they transform.His time in the Army taught him a lot, and he enjoys bringing that Boot Camp vibe to my training sessions for an extra push (safely, of course!). His passion for fitness makes for a fun and accessible environment for all of his clients.

Logan is currently pursuing a Biology degree at MSU Denver. He grew up participating in a variety of sports and martial arts. As a personal trainer, Logan aims to share his passion and knowledge in a welcoming and supportive training environment.
