Statewide, connecting transfer students with the Reisher scholarship at MSU and other universities has been challenging. However, with the addition of foundation staff and a new scholarship at community colleges, we hope to create an increase in applicants and a better student experience. In our presentation we will cover what the Reisher scholarship is, what the supportive scholarship program looks like at MSU Denver, and the challenges of getting transfer students connected to the opportunity. We will also dive into the innovative new Reisher Bridge scholarship that is awarded to community college students with the goal of getting them connected to the Reisher scholarship at their four-year destination university.
