Jonathan Padia, MS, RDN

Biography

Jonathan Padia is the Coordinated Program Director at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He has a varied background of experience primarily in community nutrition programs. He has worked at both the local and state level in school nutrition programs as well as a local level WIC dietitian. Additionally, Padia has worked in research, where he served as a dietitian for a nutrition core, implementing nutritional strategy and efforts for various principal investigators. He has served as a mentor for various universities and dietetic internships. Currently, Padia serves as the Coordinated Program Director for MSU Denver where he leads students throughout their supervised practice experience, promoting leadership and professional experiences and development.

His research has focused on school nutrition, including plate waste, food consumption patterns, and nutrition program outreach. Over three years in research, he contributed to numerous studies examining food allergies, circadian rhythms, obesity reduction strategies, medication-nutrient interactions, and other nutrition-related health outcomes. In addition to his research experience, he has provided nutrition tertiary services, applying evidence-based approaches to support diverse populations. His areas of expertise include Public Health Nutrition and Community Nutrition
