Q&A with Eavie

What does a typical day look like for you during the semester?
The days I’m on campus, typically looks like going to class, getting some lunch on campus, going to whatever fun events are going on, and hanging out with my friends.

What has your journey at MSU Denver been like?
My journey has been crazy. My first semester here, I didn’t know anyone and I would just come to class and leave. Now on my last semester, I’m here, even on the days I don’t have class, and I have so many new friends and I’m really involved, so that’s cool.

What are you passionate about within business?
I’m passionate about marketing. I love marketing because I think it takes both the logistics and the personal side of life and mixes them together.

What are your future career plans?
My future career plans is to find a job where I’m a marketing coordinator or an event planner who’s able to travel the world and work from my computer.

What clubs, organizations, or events have you enjoyed the most at MSU Denver?
The most important thing I’ve done for myself is join PSE, Pi Sigma Epsilon. It’s a coed business fraternity within the Center for Professional Selling. This group of friends have helped me to be more professional. I’ve gotten to make a lot more connections and so many internships that have helped me, right before graduation. So, that’s the best organization I’ve been part of.

What advice would you give to new business students?
The advice I would give to new business students is to use your resources on campus. MSU has so many people and events to help you succeed in your life, so use them while you can!

What’s something that you wish you knew before you started college?
Something I wish I knew when I started college is to be confident in yourself. You have to want to better and find those opportunities for yourself.

What’s your favorite thing about being part of the College of Business at MSU Denver?
My favorite thing about being part of the College of Business is the like-minded individuals on campus. I’ve met so many people in classes and on campus that are just so fun and cool.
