What’s Happening to My Government’s Budget? Downstream Impacts of the US Public Budget and Finance Environment on Colorado
Friday, October 3
8:30-10:00 a.m.

State and local budgets are shaped by shifts in the broader U.S. public finance environment. Budget officers face rising costs, constrained revenue growth, and economic uncertainty. The 2025 Budget Reconciliation Act introduced significant changes to federal spending and revenue policy. Together, these dynamics have cascading effects on state and local governments. How are Colorado’s governments responding to these changes? This First Friday series event examines how state and local agencies are navigating budgetary pressures, with a focus on service delivery, public investment, and capital borrowing. Join public finance experts for a timely discussion on how Colorado governments are adapting to a rapidly evolving fiscal landscape.
