Welcome to CHHS Days 2026! Formerly known as CHHS Week, this is our annual tradition celebrating the people, programs and partnerships that make MSU Denver’s College of Health and Human Sciences stronger together.
Our theme this year is Together, We Transform, recognizing the collective impact when we collaborate across disciplines to educate future professionals, advance innovation, and strengthen the communities we serve.
From transformative student experiences and groundbreaking education to community partnerships and the continued progress of the Gina and Frank Day Health Institute, our work reflects a shared commitment to improving health, expanding opportunity and preparing the next generation of well-being warriors.

Nursing & Interprofessional Health Career Connections Event

Join us for the 5th Annual Health Career Connections event, a premier networking opportunity that brings together students, graduates, and clinical and community partners from across the health care sector. Representatives from Nursing, Nutrition, Public Health & Health Care Management, Cybersecurity, Social Work, Behavioral Health Counseling, Exercise Science, and Speech, Language & Hearing Sciences will be on hand to discuss career paths, open positions, internships, and emerging opportunities in the field.
Whether you’re exploring your next career move or looking to expand your professional network, this event offers valuable connections and insights into the future of interprofessional health care.

CHHS Days 2026: The State of CHHS, Honoring Excellence, and Shaping the Future

Hear updates on the college’s progress and future direction, recognize faculty and staff whose outstanding contributions have strengthened our community, and help honor this year’s award recipients. Connect with CHHS colleagues and special university guests at a celebratory reception featuring wine, beer, and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
We are excited to have welcome remarks from Provost Makley, and a keynote from Donna Lynne, DrPH, CEO of Denver Health, who was recently announced to be in The Colorado Women’s Hall of Fame, Class of 2027. The address and awards will be followed up with a reception.

CHHS Connection as Prevention: Building a Suicide-Safer Roadrunner Community

Join the College of Health & Human Sciences for an engaging conversation on the power of connection, belonging, and community well-being. Through an interprofessional panel discussion featuring faculty, staff, and campus partners, participants will explore suicide prevention challenges, learn to recognize warning signs, discover available support resources, and discuss practical ways to foster a culture of care across MSU Denver.
The event will also highlight opportunities to build suicide prevention skills through Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) training and other campus initiatives. Together, we can strengthen our Roadrunner community and create a safer, more supportive environment for all.
