Bio:
Lauren Jones is the Lead Health Career Navigator within the Health Institute at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts in History from The University of Texas at Austin and her Master’s of Arts in Arts & Museum Education from Georgetown University. Within this time, Lauren created, facilitated and managed various Educational Programming within different cultural institutions such as The Blanton Museum of Art, the Denver Art Museum and The National Portrait Gallery. In 2015, Lauren returned to UT Austin to serve in the same student success initiative she herself was a member of as an undergraduate, TIP Scholars. In her role as the Senior Student Program Coordinator, Lauren supervised the TIP Mentor Academy. In 2018, Lauren moved to Denver, Colorado to join the HRSA grant-funded Health Careers Opportunity Program, where she now proudly serves as the Lead Health Career Navigator.
Above all, Lauren is passionate about making university resources more accessible and working with underrepresented students. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, watching Houston and Denver sports teams, road trips, and cooking (and eating).

Maral Khorsandzadeh is a Health Career Navigator within the Health Institute at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. She received her Bachelor's of Science degree from MSU Denver in Finance. Maral is dedicated to helping underrepresented students navigate the system and complete their time here at MSU Denver feeling empowered through the education and life skills they master.
In her spare time, Maral likes to hike the beautiful CO mountains, try new foods/restaurants, and spend time with her two pups, Molly and Piper.

Thuyvi Vo is a Health Career Navigator (HCN) within the Health Institute at Metropolitan State University of Denver. She received her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology from the University of Colorado Boulder. She received her Master’s of Public Health and Master’s of Social Work degrees from Colorado State University and the Colorado School of Public Health in 2020. As a first-generation professional, she is navigating her own journey to bridge education and health equity, bringing in a social justice lens to focus on authentic engagement to better connect and collaborate with underrepresented communities.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending quality time with family and friends which includes playing games of all sorts! She’s also a pun and jokes fanatic because honestly, 7 days without a pun makes one week (one weak haha)!
