Home Visitation Program
Parents as Teachers (PAT) serves as a model for comprehensive home-visiting and parent education. It has been tested by rigorous peer-reviewed studies and shown to produce results. Parent Educators provide guidance and activities to families with young children in the home. The goals are to increase parent knowledge of early childhood development and improve parenting practices. These professionals also assist in early detection of developmental delays and identify health issues, connecting families to local resources and appropriate educational materials, while increasing children’s school readiness.
