Nominations for Roadrunners Who Soar Awards open Sept. 18 

Nominations will open Sept. 18 for the 2024 Roadrunners Who Soar Awards and the Team Roadrunner Awards, honoring outstanding individuals and cohesive, high-performing teams. 

Employees are encouraged to nominate their extraordinary colleagues for either an individual Soar Award or a Team Roadrunner Award by Dec. 1.  

Soar Awards  

The Soar Awards recognize individual employees who are living Metropolitan State University of Denver’s CADRE values and supporting student success. Faculty members, staff members, administrators, hourly employees and student employees are eligible. 

Nominees should: 

• Live and model the CADRE values of Community, Access, Diversity, Respect and Excellence. 
• Positively impact student and/or employee success. 
• Be high performers who have a significant impact on the success of their teams, offices and departments. 
• Be excellent ambassadors for MSU Denver. 

Nominators are encouraged to use specific examples of the employee’s accomplishments, innovations and commitment to excellence as well as examples of how the employee is living the CADRE values. 

Team Roadrunner Awards 

This award honors teams that exemplify effective and equitable working dynamics. Nominees should foster positive professional environments where all members feel supported and valued. These teams should model collaboration and mutual accountability, creating spaces in which all members have opportunities to innovate and shine. 

Criteria 

Team members must:  

• Demonstrate effective group working dynamics. 
• Live and model the MSU Denver CADRE values. 
• Be high-performing and have significant impact on advancing the University’s mission. 
• Positively impact student and/or employee success, directly or indirectly.
