Dear Roadrunners,

I want to thank you all for your patience as we navigate the various overlapping construction and improvement projects that are happening across campus. I recognize that these adjustments have not been easy, but they are all leading up to upgrades that will launch us into providing a better campus experience.

Also, the next Lunch With Larry event is on May 3 at noon. Employees who wish to attend are also encouraged to send in questions in advance to [email protected].

Dispose of unwanted items and win prizes during Earth Week

First, I’d like to highlight the Auraria Sustainability Campus Program, which has a great week of activities planned in honor of Earth Week beginning on April 22. Roadrunners can bring in hard to recycle items, e-waste items or a bag of food waste and potentially win prizes for each of them. Plus, the ASCP is hosting a clothing swap, and is accepting donations for clean, re-usable clothing and can be dropped at collection boxes around the Tivoli Student Union, the Jordan Student Success Building and the Administration Building lobbies.

Don’t forget, Metropolitan State University of Denver also reduces waste year-round with the Furniture Exchange Program and the office supply reuse station on the third floor JSSB elevator lobby.

PO Box mailing addresses updated in Workday

Employee work PO Box mailing addresses have been updated in Workday to ensure AHEC is able to deliver employees’ mail.

  • Please review your contact information in your Workday profile. If needed, update or add your work contact details, including mailing address and work phone numbers.
  • Learn how to review and update your contact information, including personal and work, by reviewing the Employee Personal Information Manage Contact Information Job Aid.

Reminders

  • Happy Day of Giving! If you are able, let’s help get MSU Denver to its goal of 1,400 donors and increase our support for various student-led projects and programs.
  • Improved Wi-Fi is coming to campus. The AurariaNet Wi-Fi project will provide a streamlined sign-on process and more consistent connection campuswide.
  • There will be no wireless or wired internet access in the Administrative Building May 18-23. Please plan accordingly.
  • RTD rail projects will disrupt public transportation to campus starting May 26 and will last through September.

Once again, thank you all for your patience during these upgrades, and thank you for being so acute as we navigate so many changes.

Sincerely,
Larry Sampler, chief operating officer and vice president for Administration
