Today is Metropolitan State University of Denver Day of Giving! The University is counting on you to take up the torch and light the flame of giving, helping MSU Denver reach this year’s goal of 1,400 donors.

“Every gift, in any amount, changes Roadrunners’ lives by providing them with access to top-tier academic and athletic experiences, scholarships, state-of-the-art learning facilities, meaningful wraparound services and campus programs that prepare them for success before and after graduation,” said Jamie Hurst, assistant vice president for Strategic Engagement. 

Help make today a Gold Medal Giving Day by: 

  • Making a gift to the campus area you are passionate about. Donors making a gift of $20 will receive an MSU Denver coaster; those making a gift of $25 or more can choose to receive a coaster or an MSU Denver pennant.  
  • Setting up a match or challenge gift to inspire others to support student success. 
  • Visit the MSU Denver Day of Giving Village from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. to talk with students who are fundraising for their groups and clubs. Compete in the Power Hour Tournament from 12:30-1:30 p.m. for a chance to win funds for campus programs.  
  • Starting at 9:15 a.m., listen to the Bird Talk Podcast live with Amy Wantanabe, alumna and associate head volleyball coach.  
  • Stay tuned in following the podcast for the Day of Giving Telethon, starting at 10 a.m., to learn about featured Day of Giving projects, hear from special guests and more. Check out the telethon schedule here.
  • Spreading the word using the Day of Giving social media tool kit. 
  • Becoming a recurring donor or starting/increasing your payroll-deduction gift. 
  • Supporting student-athletes with a gift to your favorite team during the fifth annual Roadrunners Athletic Giving Challenge. Keep an eye on the leaderboard as teams compete to be crowned Roadrunners Athletics Giving Challenge Champion and earn bonus funds for their programs.
