Extracurricular Activities
Auraria Campus Student Dietetic Association
The Auraria Campus Student Dietetic Association (ACSDA) was founded by Nutrition and Dietetics students at MSU Denver. This club focuses on connecting students with department and community resources that help prepare them for the field of nutrition and dietetics. The club focuses on health and wellness through personal nutrition and education offerings, provides networking opportunities for students, as well as volunteer and career opportunities. See below for the variety of ACSDA sub-groups!
Nutrition Nerds Journal Club
During Fall and Spring semesters, the Department of Nutrition hosts a Nutrition Nerds Journal Club aimed at getting students and faculty together to interact, build community, share ideas, and keep up with the latest in nutrition research. Current and new MSN students will be emailed information each semester about Nutrition Nerds meeting times. For more information about the Nutrition Nerds Journal Club, contact [email protected].

Colorado Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics
The Colorado Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (CAND) is a non-profit professional organization representing Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDNs), Dietetic Technicians, Registered (DTRs) and dietetics students.
Rocky Mountain American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM)
The Rocky Mountain American College of Sports Medicine advances and integrates scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine. The Rocky Mountain ACSM provides local educational, professional and networking opportunities.
