From K-pop and K-dramas to global companies, Korean culture and industry have become highly influential around the world.
At MSU Denver, students can begin learning Korean through Elementary Korean I (KOR 1010), an engaging online course designed to help students build practical communication skills while exploring Korean culture and contemporary society.

Starting in Fall 2026, students studying Korean may also want to explore the Asian Studies minor at MSU Denver.
The Asian Studies minor allows students to deepen their understanding of the histories, cultures, societies, and contemporary issues of Asia through interdisciplinary coursework in language, history, politics, religion, anthropology, literature, and global studies.
Combining Korean language study with the Asian Studies minor can help students develop valuable global perspectives and cultural competencies that are increasingly important in today’s interconnected world.
