What do we do

We engage in a variety of activities to support this mission, including:

  • Conducting a DEI climate survey of faculty and students in the Psychological Sciences Department
  • Identifying areas for improvement and proposing initiatives to address shortfalls
  • Advocating for policies, decisions, and activities that align with the commitments outlined in the departmental DEI statement
  • Conducting trainings and sharing resources for faculty on equitable teaching practices, antiracist pedagogy, and how to facilitate conversations about issues of oppression, privilege, and social justice
  • Offering a reporting system for students to be able to share about their experiences with racism or discrimination in the department and/or in psychology classes.
