Minimum Application Requirements for the Colorado Center for Medical Laboratory Science

The Colorado Center for Medical Laboratory Science does not offer waivers or exceptions to the Minimum Application Requirements. Applicants who do not meet these standards will not be considered for admission. All requirements must be met in full.

Before submitting an application, use the requirements below as a self-assessment checklist. An applicant’s eligibility for admission and qualifications for formal interview will not be officially determined until all application materials are on file in the Office of Admissions and Records. If questions remain after a thorough review, contact the Office of Admissions and Records by email or phone. CCMLS does not currently offer on-site advising.

Additional Requirements

Citizenship and Residency Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident of the U.S.

CCMLS recommends the International Education Research Foundation, Inc. A list of other approved services is available from the CCMLS Office of Admissions.

English Language Proficiency ESL applicants must submit a TOEFL iBT score of 90 or better, sent directly to MSU Denver.

Background Check and Health Screening Accepted applicants must pass a background check, urine drug test, and provide vaccine and immunization documentation. These are completed after acceptance as part of the pre-enrollment process.

Health Insurance All admitted students must show proof of current health insurance upon enrollment.

A Note on Application Timing

Applications are accepted year-round. The program starts each June, and screening begins approximately one year in advance. Once all seats for a given start date are filled, eligible applications are held in active status in the event a position opens. Applying early in the review cycle is to your advantage.

Application requirements are subject to change at the beginning of each admissions cycle. Confirm current requirements before submitting.
