Follow these steps to complete your enrollment at MSU Denver. We recommend that you complete the financial aid and pre-admission steps simultaneously.

You will receive a notification letting you know of your assigned tuition classification. If you are assigned the Non-Resident rate, please contact us to review your eligibility for in-state tuition.

Once you submitted all materials, monitor your email for admission decision which will include your student ID number and your MSU Denver email
In order to complete your admission you must submit your final high school transcripts.
High school transcripts must be sent directly from the issuing institution, school or agency.

This step is required for all newly admitted students before they can register for classes. During your orientation session, you will meet with your academic advisor, who will guide you in selecting the classes you need to register for in your first semester.

You will receive registration guidance during your orientation session. If you need more assistance, please schedule an appointment with your academic advisor. Our friendly staff at the Immigrant Services Program is also available to help you navigate your registration process once you know the classes that you need.
For any student taking 9 or more credits during the Fall or Spring Semester, there is a Domestic Student Requirement and a International Student Requirement. Students taking 9 or more credits are automatically enrolled in the University Student Health Insurance Plan SHIP and charged the semester premium. Domestic students who are currently insured with a compliant U.S. issued health insurance plan can submit a health insurance waiver by the deadline each semester to avoid automatic enrollment and being charged for the SHIP premium.

MSU Denver is partner with hundreds of scholarships foundations. To apply, you only need to complete the general scholarship application.
The College Opportunity Fund (COF) provides a stipend of $116 for each credit hour of enrollment. Most students classified as in-state residents are eligible for the COF stipend, making it an excellent way to reduce your tuition costs. To benefit from the COF stipend, you must authorize MSU Denver to use it when you register for classes.

Health insurance is mandatory for all MSU Denver students taking 9 or more credits. Students are automatically enrolled in the university’s Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP) unless they opt out by providing their health insurance information.
The cost of SHIP is added on your tuition bill for until you opt-out of it.
Important: If you do not have insurance, please reach out to Immigrant Services to explore your opt-out options.
It is important to review parking costs and locations in advance.
Students can purchase the RTD college pass, which provides unlimited access to most RTD services.
The tuition deadline is always on the friday before the start of classes.
Pay your tuition in full or enroll in a payment plan by the tuition deadline to avoid penalties.
If you have changed your plans about attending MSU Denver, you must drop your classes through the registration menu on the Student Hub. It’s important to do this by the published deadlines. If you fail to drop your classes by the deadline, your tuition bill will be locked, and you will be responsible for the cost of tuition, even if you do not attend classes.
If your academic documents are issued in a non-English language, you must submit a complete, literal, word-for-word English translationin the same format as the original academic document.

Acceptable translators include your professional translators or a local EducationUSA office.
For professional translators in the U.S., we recommend you search the American Translators Association members for an accepted professional translator.
RushTranslate, The Spanish Group, and Rapid Translate are a few common translation services that we see. But we can accept most credentialed translators that we can verify.
**Note: You, your family, or friends cannot translate your documents for you. It must be completed by a professional translator.
We require your country-specific academic documents that show you completed the equivalent of a senior U.S. high school education. This can include documents such as your high school transcripts, regional or national examination results, and/or completion certificates with a graduation date.
If you do not know which documents are required for your country, please contact the International Admissions Office.
Academic documents must be directly sent to MSU Denver from the official source that holds a copy of your academic records, such as your high school, examination board, or ministry of education offices.
We can also accept academic documents attested by your local EducationUSA office as official. These documents must include the cover letter with the proper stamps and signatures from the EducationUSA advisor.
We do not require a credential evaluation for secondary level academic documents.
We must receive an official course by course evaluation for any non-U.S. university to be considered for transfer credit.
The evaluation service must be listed as a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services(NACES), such as WES or ECE.
Official evaluation reports must be sent directly to MSU Denver by the evaluation service to [email protected].
If the evaluation service does not send us your verified academic documents, we must also receive a copy of your university transcripts.
