We suggest that you get your transcripts in as early as possible in order to ensure a timely review and get into the classes that you want. Unsubmitted official transcripts can impact your class options. If you have classes in progress, you can send an official transcript for previous semesters and send an updated transcript upon completion.
All hard copies of transcripts must be in an official sealed envelope from the missing school, institution or agency. Electronic transcripts can only be delivered by the issuing institution. Forwarded transcripts will not be accepted as official.
If final official documents are not received by the start of classes a Registration Hold will be placed on the student account.

TOEFL (iBT / PBT):
An official score must be sent directly from TOEFL Services; You must login to your ETS account and choose to send your results to “Metropolitan State University of Denver” – MSU Denver’s institution code is 4505.
Duolingo English Test (DET):
An official score must be sent directly from the Duolingo English Test service. Search for “Metropolitan State University of Denver” to submit your scores.
IELTS Academic:
You must submit a copy of your IELTS result with your TRF number. We can directly verify your test results via IELTS Results Service.
Pearson Test English Academic (PTE):
You must submit a copy of your PTE Academic result with your Score Report Code. We can directly verify your test results via Pearson’s results portal.
Cambridge English Tests:
You must login to your Candidate Results Portal and choose to send us your results. Search for “Metropolitan State University of Denver” to submit your scores.

If your academic documents are issued in a non-English language, you must submit a complete, literal, word-for-word English translationin the same format as the original academic document.

Acceptable translators include your professional translators or a local EducationUSA office.
For professional translators in the U.S., we recommend you search the American Translators Association members for an accepted professional translator.
RushTranslate, The Spanish Group, and Rapid Translate are a few common translation services that we see. But we can accept most credentialed translators that we can verify.
**Note: You, your family, or friends cannot translate your documents for you. It must be completed by a professional translator.
We require your country-specific academic documents that show you completed the equivalent of a senior U.S. high school education. This can include documents such as your high school transcripts, regional or national examination results, and/or completion certificates with a graduation date.
If you do not know which documents are required for your country, please contact the International Admissions Office.
Academic documents must be directly sent to MSU Denver from the official source that holds a copy of your academic records, such as your high school, examination board, or ministry of education offices.
We can also accept academic documents attested by your local EducationUSA office as official. These documents must include the cover letter with the proper stamps and signatures from the EducationUSA advisor.
We do not require a credential evaluation for secondary level academic documents.
We must receive an official course by course evaluation for any non-U.S. university to be considered for transfer credit.
The evaluation service must be listed as a current member of the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services(NACES), such as WES or ECE.
Official evaluation reports must be sent directly to MSU Denver by the evaluation service to [email protected].
If the evaluation service does not send us your verified academic documents, we must also receive a copy of your university transcripts.
We must receive an official course by course evaluation for any non-U.S. university to be considered for transfer credit.

Official documents must be sent directly to MSU Denver by the issuing institution. These documents (and envelopes, if mailed) must include all proper attestations, such as stamps, signatures, seals, and/or apostilles.
