Bio:
Adriann Wycoff, Ph.D.
Dr. Wycoff holds a B.A. in Spanish from the University of Illinois at Chicago (an urban commuter institution much like MSU Denver), and an M.A. and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, also in Spanish. She is a Professor of Chicana and Chicano Studies and holds a courtesy appointment as an Associate Professor of Women’s Studies. In addition, Dr. Wycoff is Director and Co-founder of the MSU Denver Family Literacy Program and serves as Co-Principal Investigator of the College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP).
In terms of her working background, in addition to teaching at the college level, she has over thirty years' experience in community-based, non-traditional education. Her responsibilities have included teaching, program administration, curriculum development, grant writing, community outreach and public relations. Dr. Wycoff has also had the opportunity to present at workshops and conferences on the role of Chicana/o Studies in higher education, and on issues confronting adult learners, migrant farmworkers and other non-traditional students.

Maureen is the Program Manager for Adult Education. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and English from Indiana University, Bloomington and a Master's of Science in Nonprofit Management from Regis University. She works in service of others, loves language, and thrives on putting research and policy into action. Sporting a cape and tiara, she’s pretty sure she can change the world!

Bio:
Robb holds a BS degree from the University of Evansville in Theater and a BA in Spanish from MSU Denver.
Robb has taught English as a Second Language for the past seven years in Costa Rica and the US. His experience includes teaching in Intensive English Programs, working as an International Student Advisor, and working with MSU Denver's Family Literacy Program.
As the Parent Facilitator, Robb serves as an ESL Instructor and the go-to liaison between the program and the parent-students.

Bio:
Carole Youngren is an ESL teacher with Metro State Family Literacy. She received training in ESL and Adult Education in Massachusetts and Minnesota where she worked with students from all over the world. Born and raised in Colorado, she returned in 2014 after living away for many years. In her free time she enjoys garment sewing, knitting and hiking.

Bio:
Born and raised in Denver, CO, Margie utilizes her workforce experience to encourage and prepare her ESL students to enter the challenges and opportunities of the business world. Following seven years of teaching high school level Language Arts at Escuela Tlatelolco, Margie began her 14 year career as an ESL instructor with Adams County School District 14, gaining experience teaching levels one through six. Currently, Margie is an ESL instructor with Metro State University with the Family Literacy program.

Ana plans and runs staff meetings and professional development for the Parents as Teachers (PAT) program. Her job is to support families within the Parents as Teachers program with resources and engage in reflective supervision with the other Parent Educators. Home visits is where she comes alive in her work. Ana's mission is to change lives.

Bio:
Silvia has been working with the PAT program since 2014 and with the Early Childhood Education part of the program since 2018. Helping parents take a lead role in developing their children's literacy is her favorite part of her work. She loves to provide helpful resources to the families she visits.
Silvia has 4 kids and takes to them Mexico every summer to visit family. She is planning to go back to school for a BA in Accounting. She dreams to be a business owner someday soon.

Veronica has been a psychologist since 1995 and worked for 19 years in this field in Mexico. Now she is a parent instructor for the Parents as Teachers Program. She works with Hispanic families promoting liturature and a love of reading.
