Dear Roadrunners,

Metropolitan State University of Denver is only two weeks into the new semester, but already I feel like so much has been accomplished. The work on our classroom and athletic renovations looks fantastic, the University’s first-ever Welcome Week was a huge success and the campus is full of life and learning.

As the beginning of a new term is often busy, I’ll keep this week’s message brief:

  • Learn more about monkeypox and how to stay safe.
  • Stay tuned to the latest campus health and safety updates, including any new Covid-19 information.
  • Do not place discarded furniture or equipment in hallways as it is a fire hazard. Instead, please submit a work order with a FOAPL to AHEC
  • Faculty, staff and student-employees can sign up for AED/CPR/First aid training (limited to 10 people).
  • Check this list to see when your building or area will undergo planned fire drills.
  • Don’t miss this video from President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., and RSVP to attend the Fall 2022 President’s Welcome Back on Sept. 13.

Thank you again for your interest in University operations and have a great fall semester.

Sincerely,

Larry Sampler
Vice president for Administration
