Welcome to the College of Aerospace, Computing, Engineering, and Design at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

The College Aerospace, Computing, Engineering, and Design is home to the departments of Aviation & Aerospace Science, Computer Science, Engineering & Engineering Technology, and Industrial Design, in addition to the Advanced Manufacturing Sciences Institute, and the Cybersecurity Center. Together, these programs form a collaborative, interdisciplinary ecosystem designed to connect students with industry, industry with innovation, and graduates with meaningful, high-impact careers.
As interim dean, I am deeply committed to ensuring that CACED prepares students not just for today’s jobs, but for a future shaped by rapid technological change, global competition, and evolving professional roles. Our programs emphasize strong disciplinary foundations while integrating state of the art tools, technologies, techniques and methods shaping today’s in demand industries, from aerospace and advanced manufacturing to computing, cybersecurity, and design.
What distinguishes CACED is our balance. We believe the most effective education combines time-tested fundamentals with forward-looking innovation. Our students learn how things work, why they work, and how to adapt that knowledge as industries change. Collaboration is central to this approach. Students regularly work across disciplines, engage with industry partners, and participate in hands-on, applied learning experiences that mirror real-world professional environments.
Located in Colorado, home to world-class aerospace, technology, engineering, and manufacturing industries, CACED leverages strong industry partnerships to ensure our curricula remain relevant, practical, and career-focused.
