No, we do not offer an intensive academic English language program at this time that can help you meet the English proficiency requirement.
However, if you complete the highest level of an ESL program at a CEA-accredited institution, this may be used to meet the English proficiency requirement here at MSU Denver.
Yes, all documents written in a language other than English must be accompanied by a professional, certified English translation. MSU Denver does not provide a translation service.
Translations must be a complete, literal, word-for-word English translation in the same format as the original academic document. They must also include:
Appropriate stamps or seals explaining his or her qualifications as a translator
The full name of the translator or the translation service, mailing address, telephone number, email address or other means by which the authenticity of the translation can be verified.
No, we do not require a specific translator. You can choose any translator or translation service — if they have the proper credentials and are qualified to translate your documents.
*Note: You, your family, or friends cannot translate your documents for you. It must be completed by a professional translator.
No, we cannot accept translations completed by you, a family member, or a friend. English translations must be completed by a professional, certified translator or translation service.
Acceptable translators include your school officials, professional translators, or a local EducationUSA office.
** Our International Admissions team will review any international high school-level documents to determine if the 2.0 GPA requirement is met for applicants 19 years old and under.
No, we would still view this school as a non-U.S. high school and they would have to meet the academic requirements of that country.
Yes. You must submit your official university-level documents AND an official course-by-course credential evaluation. This evaluation must be completed by a NACES-accredited service.
Once you are admitted to MSU Denver and all required documents are received, an official transfer credit review will be completed within 7-10 business days.

No, you are not required to submit university documents.
If you are applying for a Bachelor’s degree, the minimum requirement is proof of a U.S. senior high school completion or equivalent senior secondary credential.
If you wish to receive an admission decision with only your official high school documents, please contact the International Admissions team so they can help update your application checklist.
Yes – if you want any university-level coursework to be considered for transfer credit, you must submit your official university documents.
** We recommend that you request for the credential service to send your verified academic documents together with their evaluation report.
First, you must choose a NACES-accredited service.
Please review their prices and requirements carefully as they are not the same.
After you choose a service, you will need to work with them to submit all of the documents needs to complete your credential evaluation. This often includes require a copy of your official academic documents.
Once they complete their evaluation report, you must request that they send an official copy to MSU Denver.
If possible, we also recommend that you request that they include your verified academic documents together with their evaluation report.
No, your overall GPA does not transfer to MSU Denver — only your credits will count toward your MSU Denver degree.
